Christen ZelayaChristen Zelaya has 15 years of competitive volleyball experience. She graduated HS with all- district and state honors including a state championship. She was awarded a full scholarship to play at Texas Tech University where she was a starting outside hitter. Christen competed all four years in the NCAA D-1 playoff tournaments and received awards including All Southwest Conference Player, Rookie of the Year, and holds the records for most kills in a match, career aces, and career kills.

Marie AnderssonCoach Marie Andersson was born on September 19th, 1963 in Southern California. She has been with Xtreme for 1 year and is the Co-Director. She has 32 years of volleyball experience and is happily married to her husband Perry, whom she has five children named Maranda, Tawny, Jantz, Paris, Tristen. She loves eating King Crablegs and enjoys being a mother to her children and doing housework.

Andres BarcenasAndres Barcenas, has 18 years of competitive sports experience. He was a four year Letterman in Soccer at Conroe High School and won a state championship with his club team, F.C. Eclipse. Andres was the Houston Student-Athlete of the Year in 2002. Coach Andres has had the opportunity to coach alongside some of the best in their sport such as Ted Eck, U.S. National Player, and Anna Kournikova, Professional Tennis Player.

Danielle BarcenasDanielle Barcenas was born and raised in Illinois outside of St. Louis, MO. She was awarded a full scholarship to play at Lake Land College (LLC) and then at the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS). Danielle has 4 years of prior coaching experience with clubs in Illinois in addition to coaching for Xtreme the last 4 years. At Xtreme, Danielle has coached the 13 White, 14 Black (Junior Olympics bid – American division), 13 Silver, 15 Purple, and 16 Purple. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Environmental Biology, Danielle is currently teaching Aquatic Science at Cypress Ridge High School where she coaches their JV volleyball team.

Mona ChalmersMona Baumgardner Chalmers has 32 years of coaching experience. Mona coached school volleyball, basketball, and track - and has also coached club volleyball for 15 years. During her years of school coaching Mona won 23 "District Volleyball Championships". In club she has coached a team to the Junior Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2005, coached a Junior Olympic contender team in 2007, and assistant coached Xtreme 12 Black in 2009 to a season ending with a "Silver Medal in the JUNIOR OLYMPICS."

Lonn CollinsCoach Lonn Collins was born on January 8th, 1975 in Rutherfordton, NC. He has been with Xtreme for 1 year and coaches the 17 Black. He has 20 years of volleyball experience and enjoys volleyball and eating Steak.

Alison CoteAlison Cote was born on November 23 in Houston, TX. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a B.S. in Kinesiology, minor in Mathematics. This will be her second year with Xtreme. Along with coaching 13-14's, she also helps with XJD and Cobras. She loves to eat pizza and some of her hobbies are scrapbooking, shopping, reading, and playing volleyball.

Alanah GamwellAlanah was born in El Paso, TX on December 18. She has 10 years of volleyball experience and this is her fourth year of coaching club. After graduating from Klein Collins High School, she moved to Europe and played volleyball in Leeds, England. Alanah attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in the UK, Austria, and Spain from 2009 to 2010. Aside from volleyball, she is also a certified personal trainer and currently trains at 24 Hour Fitness, runs two boot camps with Adventure Fitness TX, and is taking classes at Lonestar College towards a degree in Exercise Science. Her favorite animals are tigers, jellyfish, sharks, and alligators and her favorite food is ice cream.

Luis GomezLuis Gomez was born on November 30th in San Salvador, El Salvador. Luis played volleyball in San Salvador for 12 years and has been on numerous national teams. After playing for 12 years, Luis coached in San Salvador for 15 years before he relocated to Houston. During his time in San Salvador, Luis studied in several countries to become a certified FIVB (Federal International Volleyball) coach. He has been a part of the Xtreme team for three year and counting, and is the current facilities manager and a club coach.

Sylvia GondekSylvia Gondek was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 6. She began playing volleyball at eight years old and played in Junior High and High School. She also played club for Xtreme. This will be her third year coaching volleyball, but first year coaching with Xtreme. Her favorite food is Italian and some of her hobbies include volleyball, tennis, and spending time with her dog.

Steve HakeCoach Hake joins Xtreme Volleyball this year as he starts his 9th year of coaching girls volleyball. He is the father of 3 daughters, and has been involved in youth sports for over 15 years with instructor credentials of more than 30 years. Coach Hake started his volleyball tenure with the Conroe YMCA from 2002 through 2006. Some of his teams finished 9th in the Houston Power League, as well as finishing 2nd in the club silver bracket at Lone Star Regionals.

Mike HarrisMike Harris has been with Xtreme Volleyball for 3 years. He has 18 years experience working as a physical education teacher in the Conroe Independent School District. He enjoys working with kids and spending time with his family. He has been married for 28 years to his wife, Cheri. They have two daughters, Erica and Breana, ages 16 and 14.

Jamie JahnsJamie Jahns was born on November 14th in Spring, Texas. She has been apart of the Xtreme coaching team for two years and has played volleyball for Xtreme for two years. Before Xtreme, she played volleyball with her High School and College, and has been playing since sixth grade. Some of her favorite foods are cookies and her hobbies include volleyball, reading, and shopping.

Jennifer MillnerJennifer Millner was born on October 6, 1980 in Houston, TX. She played volleyball at Stephen F. Austin as a middle blocker and was the head coach at Nacogdoches High School for 2 years. She has been apart of the Xtreme team for one year, and is the current 13 Purple Coach. She loves to eat chocolate and some of her favorite hobbies involve running, shopping, and playing volleyball.

Royce MolitorCoach Royce Molitor, a native Houstonian, graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in finance. While in college, he competed on several teams in men's A division in the Lone Star Region. Royce has been a part of the Xtreme family since 2000, and since then, has trained under Ray Gonzales as an assistant coach for 3 years, head coached for 4 years, and is now the Middle School Age Group Director for the Xtreme Volleyball Club Program.

Katie PhillipsCoach Katie Phillips was born on December 28th, 1987 in Houston, TX. She has been with Xtreme for 3 years, both coaching and assisting with the XJV and Cobra programs. She has 12 years of volleyball experience and is currently in a graduate program to be a school psychologist.

Devon ValdesDevon Valdes has played volleyball for 7 years and played club volleyball for 4 years. She graduated high school with an all-district award and has been with Xtreme for a year. Devon helps with the Cobra and XJD programs, as well as coaching Xtreme 11 Purple. She is currently in college working to be a radiologist. She loves to eat, read, play volleyball, shop and play with her great Dane, Buford. |
